چکیده

Enzyme cocktails can alter the lignin and hemicellulose content in wood cell walls, improving bleaching process during pulp production offsetting need for toxic chemicals. In this study, brown was biobleached with a mixture of crude fungal extracts rich xylanase laccase, respectively produced from Aspergillus tamarii Kita Trametes versicolor on waste materials. The optimal conditions biobleaching were laccase (1 to 2 v/v), at temperature 36 °C pH 5.5. treated cellulose showed reduction Kappa number by 1.83 points, representing an efficiency 20.3%. addition, brightness increased 4.65 points comparison control. Hence, studies involving application standardized cocktail hydrolysis lignocellulosic residues, e.g., barley residue sugarcane bagasse, led formation 85 g/L 25 reducing sugars, respectively. Moreover, caused greater deinking recycled paper pulp.

Laccases for Denim Bleaching: An Eco-Friendly Alternative

Laccases have received much attention of researchers in last decades due to their ability to oxidise both phenolic and non-phenolic lignin-related compounds as well as highly recalcitrant environmental pollutants which makes them very useful for their application to several biotechnological processes such as those from the textile industry. In this regard, laccases are used for denim bleaching ...

Biobleaching of Orange Tree Pruning Cellulose Pulp with Xylanase and Laccase Mediator Systems

The biobleachability of soda-anthraquinone pulp from orange tree pruning has been evaluated in this study for the first time. Three different laccase-mediator systems (LMS) have been tested: laccase from Trametes villosa (Tv), either in combination with 1-hydroxybenzotriazole (HBT) or with acetosyringone (AS), and laccase from Myceliophthora thermophila (Mt) in combination with AS. After the LM...
